We are quite excited here at Genius Patch! On September 13th our founder attended the Corp! Magazine Salute to Diversity Awards Ceremony. While being there simply as a guest would have been amazing, being there to accept our first organizational award was even better.
Genius Patch was named one of Corp! Magazine’s awardees in the Diversity Champion Category. We were recognized for commitment to diversity through our educational programming for children that promotes diversity and inclusion in careers and trades, through literature in the storybooks we use and even the inclusive nature of our staff, as well as volunteers. It is an honor to be recognized for our work alongside such a tremendous caliber of professionals and community members. We celebrate and extend another congratulations to all of our fellow awardees.

Winners of 2018 Salute to Diversity Awards Named by Corp! Magazine
Warren, MI – September 14, 2018 – For more than 10 years, Corp! magazine has been celebrating companies, organizations and business leaders that have made diversity and multiculturalism a cornerstone of their business strategy. The publication honored those companies, organizations and leaders at a Salute to Diversity Awards event held today at the International Banquet Center in Detroit.
Honorees demonstrated a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion, and contributions to diversity issues in business and the community. Corp! not only considered race and ethnicity, but also gender, religion and handicapping conditions as worthy of recognition. This year’s winners will be profiled in the September 20, 2018 online version of the publication at www.corpmagazine.com.
The diversity winners were selected in three categories and include:
• Diversity Focused Company, defined as a company that clearly defines and monitors diversity success and demonstrates how diversity efforts add value to the company
• Diversity Business Leader, an individual who is a diversity role model or top officer of a minority-owned business
• Diversity Champion, a nonprofit or community organization that creates or promotes special programming, education or other initiatives that focuses on diversity
The Salute to Diversity event featured an artistic lunch, speakers and a picture perfect awards presentation hosted by WWJ News Radio personality Murray Feldman.
